This is a truly wonderful old English pub. The atmosphere is really welcoming, very busy and lively. Has a nice outside space at the front. Food was above excellent, and serves real ales which is a plus; just the place to go after a long walk in this beautiful part of the country. Dogs are very welcome too. A must if you are anywhere near here.

Always my first stop when I am passing through. The staff are very welcoming and chatty and I love that they know I am a dark beer fan giving me a heads up what’s in the cellar! Big range of hand pulled beers which are always changing. Thank you for always having different styles and especially a stout/porter. Just a really nice classic pub.
